FFC v VHC

Advice please. As a FFC member you get 10% discount on Virgin Holidays, if you join the Virgin Holiday Club you have a choice of 10% discount or 5% discount plus a choice of other 'goodies' instead. By joining the VHC do you still get your FFC miles and Tier points when you travel on a Virgin Holiday? Having asked 3 operatives at VH's and been given 3 different answer's I thought it better to ask on here (perhaps where I should have started in the first place) as I am more likely to get a correct answer !
Thanks in advance

When you get your VH holiday booking number simply log onto the VS site (manage your flights) and fill in your flying club details. y) y) y)

You do, but you have to be invited to you FVC nowadays, which is based on your previous spending with them.

There's very little benefit to been a FVC member these days.

VH have been offering 10% discounts online for everyone most of this year anyway.

You do get the usual VS miles and TP's on all VH bookings.

Your VH booking ref will only work on the VS website if you are flying to the US. For all other destinations you first need to call VH and ask them for your VS PNR.

The price difference was several £hundreds with the price via the Frequent Club telephone number being that much cheaper for our recent holiday. The words "special price offer" were used and the online price never got as low.

You can still log into the manage flights section without knowing the VS PNR, should you forget to ask VH for it. Go to manage your flights on the VS site, fill in the required details, your name and VH booking reference, and you will get:

Sorry, we were unable to retrieve your booking. Please check the details you gave us below and let us know the flight number and departure date of the flight and try again.

Fill in the required extra info (date and flight number) click on retrieve booking and bingo. On the first page you get to you will find your VS PNR in the top right corner. From then use that to avoid having to submit information twice each time. y)
