Hello V-Flyers

Congrats on this excellant resource! I'm hoping someone may be able to answer this question for me...

I'm travelling SYD-HKG in July 10. Have purchased an MPM X-Class Economy seat.... just wondering, will I be able to do an ODU and pay cash to sit in PE on this fare class?

Have looked around a bit and wasn't able to find an answer on whether anyone has done it in SYD before.

Also, when paying for the ODU does it need to be cash or will Amex be possible?Always nice to pick up some more points...

Many thanks!

:)

Hi and welcome

The fare codes rules for the
X bucket

only say you can't use miles to upgrade so I guess you can always just ask.

IF upgrades are available I am sure the staff will take either the folding stuff or your plastic to pay for it.

Welcome to V-Flyer.

I am not familiar with the phrase ODU, and google hasn't helped. Am guessing the U is Upgrade.

Tonty has answered your question, but can you (or someone) shed light on ODU for me, please? :D

Nick

I took it to mean 'On (the)Day Upgrade' !

If it does mean anything other than that my answer may well be totally wrong !

maybe we should have a competition to come up with a meaning? Am sure we could come up with all sorts of (CLEAN) definitions to some frequently used anacronyms

Thanks all for your responses and apologies for the Jetstar International jargon!

ODU = On Departure Upgrade
