No, there are no extra charges for the Y seats upstairs. Can you select these now or are they all greyed out?

Weird, I'm flying back to LHR on the 5th (from SFO), and I'm still showing a config 3 on my seat maps page...

Then go ahead and select them if that is where you want to sit, if there were to be any charges they wouldn't be available for you to select now.

That is very strange, maybe they just haven't updated your seat map yet.

In-bound A/C don't usually go back out to the same destination they came from at LHR. I think the arriving VS20 A/C goes back out as the VS3 to JFK.

You will arrive at LHR at about 10:30 and the VS19 departs around 11:30 so there's not enough time to turn the VS20 A/C round to depart as the VS19.

But the OP is flying to SFO on the 5th which will mean that the same a/c will fly Crispin back from SFO on the 5th, but currently they have different seat maps showing.

As there is only 1 flight a day in/out of SFO it is always the case that the VS19 a/c operates the VS20.

I would stick with three seats together in economy downstairs. Having seen and flown on the new config aircraft, upstairs is now very cramped indeed and you'll have more room on the main deck of the aircraft.

Tinkerbelle, how do you police only the UC people from upstairs sitting at the bar? Do the UC need to carry their purple boarding cards, or wear their UC socks as tickets to the bar?

Combination of looking at peoples socks and if someone is not recognised as being sat in Upper, asking them where they are seating and if they are in W or Y, asking them to return to their seat.

Most W or Y customers tend to look around and ask if it is ok for them to sit at the bar which gives it away every time!

Ahh, so the trick is to fly upstairs in Y, bring on some UC socks, perhaps a sleep suit as well, and act like you belong at the bar :D
