Question about Flight Schedules

How quickly is this up-dated from when an aircraft departs. I'm flying on VS071 on 25th June and I'm thinking if I check VS072 on the 24th I'll know what Aircraft I'll be on.

Also, slightly OT but is there a general problem with OCLI just now, I've seen a few threads on various forums where people are saying it hasn't worked and when they phone VS they're told to check in at the airport.

The flight schedule information on here is from a direct feed from Virgin, so it is very accurate and is pretty much in real time.

But is still only updated a short time in advance of flights departing the UK is it not, do we know approximately how much before?

As to OLCI, I am not surprised. Anything to do with the VS Web site seems to have the potential to fail at the moment. Talking to VS staff, they're hugely embarrassed about it and it's leading to a large increase in calls.

That isn't really correct. If you use the status updates page then it can be updated quite far in advance.

There are all sorts of reasons why some people can't use OLCI and its not always because of a fault with the website.

Examples - given on here - include the Pax having a similar name to someone on a watch list and issues with ESTA / Visas that need to be sorted.

Great stuff, thanks for the responses guys, it will be good to know what plane I'm on.

I'm flying from Glasgow, so there's very little recent data because of the lack of flights but they start again this week. I'm resigned to a Manchester Gatwick config with Nova, seems to be the norm.

The schedules is an amazing tool y)

I couldn't use OLCI flying back from the US due to needing to pay more money (I had moved the flight, but they had failed to bill me the change fee ...) - so the website was doing the right thing (sadly)
