Our flight in October is on a 747 - config 1 and I'm just wondering which seats are the extra legroom seats in economy? Is it the pairs at the back?

Thanks,
JG

It differs from aircraft to aircraft, but in most cases the pairs a the back tend to be extra leg room seats.

Thanks Neil. We've got 37DEFG selected at the moment because there's 4 of us, but our 6 year old is hankering after a window!

You are just in front of the toilets so you might want to consider moving.

Shouldn't be a problem with moving yourself though - you can do it in 'manage your boooking'

We choose those seats - we have a little one with a very small bladder so thought it might be easier all round for us to be closer. Apart from the toilet issue, they seem to have a bit more recline than others from what I've read on the reviews so I'm hoping they'll be okay :?

I go in just over 3 weeks and booked seats 62 H&K, however Virgin moved me to seat 61 H&K.

I assume this is because the extra legroom seats on certain aircraft are in row 62 so they can only be assigned at the airport when you pay. As Virgin have moved me, I assume Virgin are looking to use one of the older aircraft as these have the extra legroom on the rear seats.

The older aircraft have the extra legroom seats at the back, whereas the newer aircraft have them in the middle at £30 per person.

It's frustrating as if I end up on one of the newer aircraft then there is no window seat in seats 61H&K !!!!!!! They are blocked out for some reason.

I am going to have to look on V-Flyer the night before to see which aircraft is going to be used and then get to the airport early.
