OK so the schedule shows 747 but the seat map is a 600, but the actual flight has been using a 747 recently.

Flight 11/10 JUL

Any ideas how you can tell what a/c it will be?

Go by the seatmap on the "My Booking" page of the VS website. The BOS route has regular aircraft changes with the 744/343/346 all operating the route.

As stated in the previous replies above you can never be certain what aircraft type you're going to get on the VS11 to Boston. This route could be a A340-300 one day, then a Boeing 747-400 the next. It could even change a few hours up until departure.

In the summer the VS11 is mainly operated by the Boeing 747-400.

The a/c type that is showing as the seat map on your booking page is likely to be the most accurate information *currently*, but as above, things are always changing and can continue to do so right up until the last minute.

As of now VS11 on July 10th is scheduled to be a A346. With the current book load you're likely going to be sticking with the A346 rather than A343 for sure.
