V-Flyer

not sure if this is elsewhere on the site bit it's certainly news locally. The Virgin flight which was emergency landed (a tornado was ripping through a nearby city), sat on the runway for hours--no AC, no food, no water according to pax. Three people were taken off by ambulance but everyone else locked aboard until immigration services could be brought in and pax sent on to Newark by bus.

Interestingly BDL does have an international "terminal" as KLM ran and says it will in future again, a service to Amsterdam.

It was quite a storm and dreadful for the VS passengers kept captive but a tornado is no place for an airplane...
