Just a quick one I hope....

I am in Y on the way back what is the best way if any to pay for/ beg a upgrade to PE if available...? I know I would not be able to afford a upg to UC so I will have to accept a PE upg if I can get one.

Firstly check 'manage my bookings' as they are often offered there.

Then check again when OLCI opens - again may be offered at that point. Also means you can choose the best Y seat you can.

Then ask at the desk at Logan and be prepared to offer miles and / or money.

Begging won't work (but might be entertaining to watch!)

Ok, Nothing showing in my bookings... so that one down.... Will have a look when OLCI opens and will keep my fingers crossed... I dont have a lot of miles so will have to offer cash....
And if i resort to begging I will post the video lol...

The flight is pretty much open in all classes, so practically no chance of an op-up.

There will more than likely be an on the day upgrade price offered at the airport.

However, with the flight likely to be 6hours or just under and with Y looking pretty empty, you could well get a set of 4 seat to yourself, which could give you more room to lay out than in PE, so I might be tempted to stay where you are.

same flight last week was 5:30 in the air, UC had plenty of empty seats so i assume PE & Economy were similar

Well I managed to buy a upgrade to PE...
But no lounge access *sobs*
