OLCI - traveling with hand luggage only (UC)

If we are only bringing luggage to take on the plane, and I had done OLCI, do I literally arrive at the airport and go through security, with my self-printed boarding pass?

Many thanks,

Bruce

I always wondered with VS, since other airlines I have flown TATL in recent years don't do this. Do you get grief at security or anywhere else if you don't have the sticker on the passport? Shouldn't imagine so, but that's the one drawback of not talking to anyone and going straight through on a printed boarding pass.

I usually travel with just hand luggage, and check in online.
Not having the sticker isnt a problem, they ask the security questions and give the sticker at the departure gate.

Thanks for the replies.....Will I also be able to use the fast-track security line?

Yes but it has been reported before that with the home-printed boarding pass, the barcode needed to open the door doesn't always work.

The MAN ground staff were not even bothered about the passport security sticker back in May. They just put it on your passport at the check-in desk without asking any security questions (when collecting purple boarding pass) and they only looked at the photo page of your passport at the boarding gate - I know, as I was holding my passport open, they could not see the back of it.

By contrast, I have travelled in UC through LHR with a dual-national. She had to leave the UK on her UK passport (so presented this at check-in) was duly asked the security questions & passport stickered. At the boarding gate, she presented her US passport (no sticker). The ground staff insisted on asking her all the questions again & stickering the US passport, even when she produced the UK one with a sticker on.

Hmm... MAN ground staff are outsourced. LHR are not (or so I believe). Draw your own conclusions!
