Hi all,

Following years of collecting my miles with a few flights and credit card I have managed to bag 2 UCS reward seats from LGW in December for my wifes 40th. Having only flown Upper from Man to MCO i am really looking forward to experiencing the clubhouse. Any tips would be appreciated.

Oh well done.

I'd start by having a look at some of the TRs for your flights as these often mention the CH.

A quick search revealed this thread re the LGW CH hut tere will be others !

Also the LGW page on the main VS site will have info too

(edited for spelling mistake)

Danny358 - congrats on your reward flight!

I'm actually doing this flight, LGW to Vegas, in about 2 weeks time. I've only ever flown VS from LHR before so this will be a new experience for me (both the LGW clubhouse and a VS 747) too.

Hopefully I will get round to doing a TR, so look out for it.

There is a short video with some shots of the LGW CH here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N71l3WK-bYQ

One bit of advice at LGW is not to follow the signs to the Virgin V-Room. (As I did the first time!) That takes you to the VH lounge which is a quite separate place. The VS Lounge is on the upper floor near the Kurt Geiger shoe shop.
Have a look at http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/attheairport/clubhouses/londongatwickclubhouse.jsp which gives you full directions.

The other bit of advice is to get to the airport a bit earlier than normal (approx 3 hours) if you want to take advantage of a massage/manicure etc in the Cowshed Spa. You can't book these in advance anymore so do that on arrival at the lounge then relax and enjoy.

Have a great trip

Martin

Slightly OT, but following Tonty's link I read on the VS Web page:

"This will allow our staff to proactively manage our customer needs across this large space."

Whoever wrote that needs shooting.
