We have booked Upper to Las from LGW 8D . on the my booking panel it is showing a LHR config map with Upper upstairs with premium behind it. Does anyone know the best Upper seats to get on this plane and what will the entertainment be?
Thanks,
Danny

I would personally go for something in the front A Zone downstairs, they are all good seats in that area.
On the current config you will be on an a/c fitted with the V-Port IFE.
Do bear in mind that the config could change, so it will be worth you keep on checking your booking as if it goes back to an LGW a/c you will just get assigned random seats by the computer.

The Seat Maps and Ratings facility in the Toolbox may help you make up your mind. I recently had the same decision to make as yourself and ended up, as Neil says, with downstairs Zone A.
Originally I had downstairs for outward and upstairs for return but swapped to both downstairs when
(a) I read reports that upstairs got quite hot
(b) the reconfig became a reality and reports began to filter back that the experience wasn't that good, with priority disembarkation going out of the window. BTW, it's economy, not premium economy, at the rear of the bubble.
Once settled on downstairs, I opted for Zone A and then the only remaining decisions were "how far forward?" and "should we sit opposite or next to each other?" In the end I went for as far forward as possible and next to each other, as service is by side of the aircraft and it will be easier to talk..
Hope this helps.
Paul

We have managed to get 16 and 17 A wich by looking at the trip reports are good seats to have. Does anyone know what is the likleyhood of the aircraft being changed back to a LGW/MAN plane and why have they put the LHR plane on in December?
Thanks again for all your help,
Danny

Yes, those are good seats, so no worries there.
Not sure on why they currently have an LHR config planned, one of the LHR a/c is working ex LGW nearly all the time now, but usually on the BGI flights. Maybe Virgin are expecting a need for more J class seats around those dates, maybe a big conference in Vegas or similar.
The chances of it switching back to an LGW config? That will depend on so many issues so all you can do is check on a regular basis.

Thank's Neil,
maybe because it's the LHR plane is the reason i have managed to get two G seats, do they normally offer them on the LGW fleet with only 12 J seats?
Cheers,
Danny

There are 14 UC seats on the LGW a/c.
G's are certainly not easy to come by on the LAS flights normally, but not impossible and it all comes down to the time of year you are going and a bit of luck as well.
It is a popular route and usually a busy flight, so you have done well to bag the G's, which could well be down to the fact it is on a LHR config.

The LHR 744 sometimes sub into LAS, but it is very rare, there are no major conventions in Vegas till after new year.
