Hey Peeps,

I will post a TR when I can but lets just say the Flight was a nightmare and I am utterly disappointed with both the Aircraft and more to the point the cabin crew.
I am so busy at work will be another week or so before i post the return TR sorry...

Mike and a very P****d off Gerry

Well, you have to love the teaser!

It is always such a shame when people are so upset with a flight that even before the trip report, you just have to say how terrible it was. We had about 40 customers on the Virgin flight to Tokyo where the IFE failed at the back and I am waiting to hear from a few of them.

As opposed to this kind of feeling being rare and all the other flights making up for it, we really seem to be sliding the other way. Come on VS, pull your socks up.

I don't disagree with you eejp1007, there seems to have been a theme about VS ever since we started this site - When they are good, they are very, very good but when they are bad - they are awful. ):

It may be slightly perverse, but I think a well evidenced report of a bad experience is often more interesting to read than a report full of gushing praise. I have posted several of the latter, but (touch wood) have yet to experience too much of the former.

Some things are out of the crew's control - weather, IFE failure, ATC delays etc. etc. so very little can be done about those things by the people at the sharp end. It does however really annoy me when I read about disinterested, couldn't care lass crew. n(

I know that the majority of VS crew care passionately about the company, and are a real credit to their profession. We have to concede though, that there are still those who let the side down.

It could be argued that VS are, to some extent, reaping what they have sown, by their treatment of crew and passengers over the past few years. There is no argument that the beancounters have long since taken over from the previous set of decision makers, who were innovators with flair.

We are coming to a watershed period as the new planes start to arrive and the old IFE and broken / dirty seat nightmares are (hopefully) banished. We will watch with interest.

Nick
