Luggage on Virgin flights

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what the deal is with car booster seats on Virgin flights? I know they are carried free of charge, but do they go on as hold or hand luggage? Is it better letting the agent tag them, or wrapping them in a black bag with our details on it etc?

Thanks in advance!
Gaz.

We took a Child seat with us in May. We bought a Bag for it from Kiddicare.com, which did a great job of protecting it from the over-zealous Baggage handlers. The Seat was checked in "Hold" Luggage, although we did have to take it to the "Outsized" scan and drop at the Airport. Hope this helps.

Cheers, we thought about getting a protective bag for it, and glad we don't have to carry it around the terminal for a few hours before departure.

Also, when you arrive at MCO, they put all the Car Seats/Strollers/Buggys in a little fenced-off compound by the Carousel- top left hand corner as you enter Baggage claim.
