Companion flight & upgrades

If i book an Economy flight of course in the right fare cat and then book a companion flight using my miles, can I then use miles again to upgrade both seats on say the return journey from Econ to PE?

Hi,
No you can't. You will only be able to upgrade the paid for fare, you cannot upgrade the companion fare with either miles or cash.
