Part of the HMG contract?
Cruise lines?
I am not familiar with the charter world, but would certainly like to see VS try Toronto and Vancouver as scheduled destinations.

Oh please God Montreal so we can get out of using AC every February ! Mind if they started a winter holidays run they would have to up the luggage allowance to compete with AC, our snowmobiling gear would never fit in the present VS allowance!

MOD flights would be to Calgary, but i doubt VS would have to apply to Canada for an MOD charter flight.
However there was a rumour a few months ago that VS might look to use an A330 at GLA to Canada to fill the void left by Zoom & Flyglobespan!!!!

That's what occurred to me, but why as a charter ... the Zoom/FlyG's were pretty regular ...

VH have started with a brochure to Canada
Link Here so i suppose this was the next logical step for VS so as VH dont have to sell tickets for other carriers.

I *think* that although they were pretty regular they were classed as charter, although I am sure someone will be along to confirm this or otherwise.
They were always pretty busy,(with a huge Scottish/Canadian tie up) so it would be a great addition to the GLA stable y)

Thomas Cook & Air Transat currently operate to Canada from GLA, but very seasonal & nothing like the number of flights previously operated by Zoom & Flyglobespan.

HMG flights would be covered by diplomatic protocols - indeed our dear leader flew to Toronto to the G8 / 20 a few months back.
But yes a full service to Toronto ot Vancouver would be excellent.
