I am trying to make a booking to travel from LHR to NYC in November in UCS for me and the Mrs. Basically i held the flights I wanted but missed the deadline and now the return flight has gone. There are others on that day but I really wanted the late flight which was on hold. What are the chances it will come back on any time soon. (VS10 on NOV 13th)

It is really an impossible question to answer accurately. It will all depend on if revenue management decides to release anymore, and that could be done anytime between now and right up until the day before the flight

If you really want to fly UC on that specific date, and there are seats available on another flight, I would personally book them, otherwise you run the risk of them going also and you been left with having to pay cash or fly a lower cabin.

You could give them a ring and ask if they would be prepared to swap the Gs from another flight? They can only say no. (you could also pleed ignorance on the hold deadline!)

What about the VS2 from EWR as an altertative - its only a n hour or so earlier than the VS10

..and it's so much easier than being "22nd in line for take-off" as happens at JFK. VS2 is my preferred return flight from NYC: just as easy to get to; less queuing; good lounge and you get to revivals at HRW at a civilised time.
