Hi all,

Flying PE with the gf however confused on what plane is used... Read so many reports about PE on Upper Deck however online shows a 747-400 Config 3 which is Upper Class on Upper Deck. Can anyone confirm and IF by miracle PE is on Upper Deck best way of getting seats there!

At the moment G-VFAB and G-VHOT (by looking at the Flight Status feature on here) have both been operating many Gatwick flights including those to BGI, UVF, ANU and MBJ. These aircraft have the Heathrow config with 10 J seats and 33 Y seats on the upper deck. PE is on the main deck but it will be the new purple leather seats and V-Port IFE is fitted on these aircraft.

However nothing is fixed in stone as there are constant aircraft changes at Gatwick - including some at last minute. So if it does get changed to an LGW config there will be 16 PE seats on the main deck behind the J cabin and the entire upper deck has PE albeit the older style seats.

The only reliable way is to keep checking the "Manage My Booking" feature on the VS website. That should provide the best information on which configuration is currently scheduled for the service, but as Tinks says things can always change at the last minute.

J - Upper Class
W - Premium Economy
Y - Economy

hmmm when i check my online booking says it's going to be Boeing 747-400 (Seating configuration 3) so uppder deck is all J! How likely is that to be set in stone do you think otherwise will upgrade to Upper Really want to go top deck. What i mean i guess is will it only change when we get there or likely to change in the My Booking section?
