Well I have to say I'm not too impressed.
Yes, stylish and very evocative of the Bond Movie opening credits created by Maurice Binder, but is so surreal as to make you say "What's this trying to tell me?"

I have friends travelling today from GLA to MCO (in economy :0 ) with only 5 spare seats available.
Will ask them what they think of the ad after that experience

I like it. OK, it's no BA 'face' advert but very slick.
And of course, us talking about it shows it has impact

I don't recall any cabin crew wearing heels that high :0

Those Y seats look like the current 'new' Y on some of the A346s from a few years ago.

It's a nice slick ad (and a bit reminiscent for me of the 'Still Hot' campaign) but I think it would be useful to show more of the product they're trying to promote.I just wish VS would spend as much money on beefing up the on- board experience as they do on advertising and other incidentals.

I like it, a lot. It is stylish, modern, fresh and different, everything I want a Virgin Atlantic ad to be.
Okay it might give a true reflection of the reality all the time, but the whole point is to attract customers, and I think once again they have come up with a stand out ad campaign.

Perhaps its me but it would have been nice to see actual product rather than brand - but I guess the product isnt as sexy as the brand.

I don't think much to it.
The kitsch glitz and glamour is a far cry from the experience of most passagers.
Nicking the Bond idea? Not very imaginative.
Only redeeming feature is the quip at the end - "is that Linda?"
3/10 must try harder OR divvy up the cost and give it to V Flyer members next time!

Nice shoes, I'd like some of them! God forbid not for work though. Also, if they actually have pilots that look like that I want me one!!

I like it. It's clever and fun but like DL, I wish they had spent the money on the onboard experience

The Virgin brand has slipped lately - BA kicking them out of the
top 10 Consumer Superbrands (although VS stay above BA in the Business top 10)
This should help - but the real battle is to win back the loyalty and trust of their long-term supporters.
Time to start listening as well as talking VS!

Virgin are reportedly spending six million pounds on this campaign. I am sorry, but I could think of a number of much better ways to spend this money!

Totally agree that there are much better ways of spending that money!

An interesting concept, very lavish. I would also have preferred to have seen more of the actual product and don't think it a patch on the 25 birthday ad.

Just out of interest though - how far would £6 million go in sprucing up all their planes?
I don't imagine very far - though happy to be proved wrong!

I'll go against the grain and say I really like it.
Love the Muse version of Feeling Good too.

Actually most of us have said we like it too

but cannot see the justification of another expensive ad campaign when the on board experience and the overall product have been as it has of late (and I'm making no reference to the crew who have been outstanding on my last few trips) .My mother (a great social commentator) would describe this campaign as "fur coat and no knickers".My next trip will be in economy and if it's great I'll be the first to applaud VS.

In order to win passengers to drive revenue to afford to spruce up the planes VAA need to advertise. Let's not forget this is a WORLDWIDE advertising campaign for which £6m is a mere drop in the ocean. And also that from next year with the new planes arriving the VS fleet will be vastly improved. These things take time!

I can't wait to see the new ice cream delivery service. I'm on VS19 on Monday so I'll report back. Will they really open their blouses and get then out like that? Surely they'll melt by the time they get to 53C

needs more i.d. so you KNOW its Virgin. I know 'cos I know, but if I didn't recognize them, wouldn't have a clue.
don't like the IFA bodice ripping - really do we need that in this day and age? and agree with others - a little too concerned with style - do people really choose airlines based on that?
Give us better food, better seats/legroom and better service than the rest, and you will be full, without ads.
