So how good is the concierge...

So..

We’re off to Vegas again in January, flying into SFO on the VS19 then straight out again on the 16:00 Virgin America flight to Vegas. We’re booked in Upper to SFO then Economy to Vegas and quite rightly want to upgrade to First for the short hop – a) because we’ll have been in an upper seat for 12 hours and going straight to econ might send us into shock and b) we may be a bit worse for wear by then and will need a snack and a nap..!!

The flight is currently wide open with 8 seats available in F so we can upgrade our seats today for an additional $130ish each. Or we can wait for on the day upgrades which are apparently now only sold 6 hours prior to departure for $70. The question I have is as we will be in the air at T-6H what are the odds of the clubhouse concierge being able to leverage some weight with VX to do an on the day upgrade before the 6 hour mark?? I’m not optimistic but it’s always worth the question I guess??

Cheers,

Liam

I'd go with zero...

Sorry, while they're now *linked* (just about), I'm not so sure the CH concierge can grab any favours from VX yet...

And bear in mind on Virgin America there are only about 8 seats in "Upper" full stop.

(Economy on VX is actually amazing)
