VS "Gold Members' on Virgin America - any advantages?

Taking my first flight on Virgin America soon.

Is my VS AU any use? Can I go into VS clubhouse with my VA ticket? That would be terrific, and they are both at JFK's T4!

can a wiser head tell me if its smarter to put the miles onto VS account, or open an 'elevate' VA one?

I hear its great, but thats from my American friends who can only compare to United and Delta and American, so... am sure it IS a shock to them! :D

You can add your Flying Club number to gain miles and TPs but Gold gets you nowt. You can pay to use the clubhouse if its open during your flight and you're in MCS, First or Elevate member.

well I guess TP is a small bonus, though I have enough this year already. Surprised AU can't use the clubhouse for free in JFK but well... them's the breaks.

I thought the lounge access was only at SFO, or can you buy in to any VS lounge now when on a VX flight?

We currently offer lounge access utilizing the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in San Francisco (SFO), Washington Dulles (IAD), and New York (JFK). You can buy a pass for just $35
