I need advice please..............

Hello everyone
I have a dilemma! I am off to Orlando 4 weeks today; received etickets today etc. I was happily checking that all was in order when my husband decided to remove the 6 or so security stickers from the reverse of MY passport. To cut a long story short he decided to remove the last traces of sticky with a cloth and spray cleaner v( !
On presenting the newly cleaned passport back to the rightful owner I was horrified to see that a faint watermark had seeped onto the photo/machine readable page :0 !
Shouted at him - a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rang Passpor Service who say I will need a new passport n( so have appointment at the end of the week at local passport office for Fast Track service....
Being organised I completed ESTA in September (pre charge)- of course I will have to reapply now with a new passport (old one still ran until 2017).
Question - Will I encounter any problems with ESTA approval if I reapply so soon?
Please will one of you lovely people put my mind at rest....
In anticipation
Jane

I doubt it.
Your new passport will be issued under a new passport number and so therefore your ESTA will be allocated to a new passport number.
The US Government are well aware that people loose passports all the time and therefore will need a new ESTA. No need to worry.

as 'willd' says you shouldn't have any problems as you will have a new passport number.

i have been to Orlando for Christmas a couple of times in past years the temperature was around 23-25 c (hot enough for me to wear shorts which is unusual) early mornings and evenings will be cooler, i don't remember any heavy rain but it is always possible with Florida's changeable climate.

Some of us have "lost" our original ESTAs on more than one occasion, the latest just before they started charging for it and re-applied without any problems

As others have said no problem with applying for a new ESTA
But you did the right thing by checking with the IPS re your new passport. Last thing you would have wanted was to have been told at the airport that you couldn't fly (or even worse they let you through but the TSA then refused you entry)
I trust that Mr Floridagirl has been / will be made to pay for this !

Huzzah for the IPS !
Not sure you should be so quick to forgive Mr FG - I'd be demanding all sorts of compensation !
