I checked my FlyingClub miles and realised I have been credited twice for something, so I emailed and explained that yes, I have recommended VS to heaps of people but that in all honesty, I could not accept the extra airmiles they had granted in error.
They replied to say "We would certainly like to appreciate your honesty... I have checked we can see you have a flight forthcoming ... and we look forward to welcoming you onboard
I know I won't get an upgrade but I can still dream!

How cryptic, well done VS.
Now, of they dash your dreams when you get there, then there will be hell to play from the V-Flyer community!

Had six missed calls from Virgin today.
It was a courtesy call to ensure that I had my e-ticket, knew about online check-in, would I like to upgrade, or perhaps extra legroom seats... I opted for extra legroom seats... £30.

No upgrade then ? I would expect it to show at OLCI given your previous correspondence from "the back office". 6 missed calls is some serious customer service IMHO (or sales office trying to drum up extra ££

)

Well, I think it was £££. And
I think I've been stung for a seat I'd already picked! Haha.

I wish I could say I would have been quite so honest. I can't, but I still wish I could...

I'm overegging it - it was 2000 miles!
But the call was a nice touch, not sure if that's normal.
