Number for flying club in U.K.

Hi,
Can anyone supply me with a way of contacting a Red flying club adviser who is based in this country. I am sorry but I have made 3 phone calls to India because of a mix up made to my FC account miles but can not get them to understand a simple premise that you have to add miles on before you can take them off.
I have tried 3 times the switchboard in Crawley, where I ask them to put me through to someone in England because of the language problem, only for them to transfer me to the generic extension in India, and I have tried the customer relations number, that too sends me to the same country.
If anyone is able to help would be most grateful.

From memory, you get presneted with options when first you call.

My experience of such things, is if you say it's a new booking you get to talk with someone in the UK, and if you say it's regarding an existing booking and anything else, you don't.

So, suggest you select the new booking option, and politely explain your issue when answered.

Thanks very much for that. y) 5 minutes on the phone to a lovely lady in new reservations and she could see the problem. Email whisked off to the company that deals with the shopping credits and she is even holding some flights for me for a week.
How shallow and transparant is that of VS. If you are going to spend money with them you get dealt with by the U.K. If it's anything else like complaining or Flying Club they feel confident enough in our Indian brothers and sisters to let them handle it, just not the money side.

I think that's fairly common practice amongst all sorts of companies these days, not saying it's correct, its ust the way they do it.

For example, most tlephone/broadband providers will talk to you from the UK if it's a sales enquiry, but as soon as you're signed up and have a problem, off you go to Chenai or where-ever.

Glad you're sorted out though.

Not for long.
Should be Welsh accents from Swansea in January. :D

That's if the 'Quick the boss is coming' button doesn't sabotage their plans!

As far as I know Swansea call centre is already open, and they have already started shutting down the Indian one?

I ring 01293 562345. It's answered by a person & then I ask for FC red/silver & they put me straight thru. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Yee-haa! And about time too. I'm the last person to be accused of being racist, but when you have a problem, you simply need to speak to someone who understands. Not just the same language, but the situation....

For me, it's the scripted manture of conversations you seem to have with off-shore call centres, and the fact that if you have anything remotely out of the ordinary (which is usually why I'm on the phone in the first place), they have no written down answer to give you - and it all goes downhill from there.

Good news from Bill_S, had missed that.

Initially, Swansea will only be 07:00-23:00. Outside of these hours it will still go to partner call centres.

It is planned for Swansea to go 24/7/365 eventually.
