Should I be miffed?

As you know I fly out tomorrow night. Here is the series of things that happened this week.

- Six (6!) missed calls from Virgin.
- Offer to upgrade to 'extra legroom seat' for only £30.00 - an offer I accept.
- Online check in opens and I use the Virgin Flight Tracker app to access it.
- No option given to select another seat and clicking 'start check in' goes straight to the confirmation screen. I don't know what seat I have been given.
- I can't email the boarding pass or even view it.
- I go onto the main website and look at my booking and see I have an "H" - aisle seat. I don't really like aisle seats.
- SeatGuru has a caution that the seat I have has limited storage and foot room due to the presence of an equipment box under the seat.

Is the seat one of the new ones that was mentioned here a while back?

I know it's just a flight but I feeling that I've been ripped off. I was happy with the seat I had selected myself. The flight looks wide open on Expert Flyer so all is not lost.

When doing online checkin, the seat selection is actually after you have hit the big 'Check me in' button....

Yes am aware hence my surprise that this option was missed.

If the flight is full quite often the option to change your seat isn't there, which might be a reason why you didn't have the option.

So are you saying that you have paid £30 for a legroom seat but haven't been allocated one, or you have been allocated one but you aren't happy with the specific seat you have been allocated?

The seat I have been allocated has a "be aware" tag on SeatGuru, saying it has less legroom!

It'll be fine I am sure in the end...

Don't forget each a/c has the extra legroom seats in different positions, and seat guru might not have updated their seat map to take these in to account.

The Extra Legroom seats are allocated at the airport hence why you can't choose a seat - if your unhappy with the seat ask at Check-In/Bagdrop.
