New FC Reward: Combination Reward

*****UPDATE ON THE FOLLOWING******
Since 16Dec this has been rolled out to all VS routes even those originating overseas.
*****************
Now I have to state this is on a trial basis only at the moment, and I had previously started this thread about it: forum/index.php?f=4&t=265703&rb_v=viewtopic
However, I don't think enough people have realised that it's there.
So the Combi Reward is basically where you can travel one way using your miles, and the other way at a lower priced published fare (instead of the normal J, W or Y Full fare "one-way" tickets.
This is only available on flights ex UK to the USA ONLY at the moment, and up until now has only been available as the following:
ONE WAY using miles in G (upper), U (Prem Econ), or T (Econ, and
ONE WAY published fare in either Y, B, L, Q, X, N or O (ALL Economy), if available.
From today onwards, VS have increased this to Premium Economy published fares too, so the scenario could now be:
ONE WAY using miles in G (upper), U (Prem Econ), or T (Econ, and
ONE WAY published fare in either W, S, K (Premium Economy), Y, B, L, Q, X, N or O (Economy), if available.
This is to try and get rid of the hassle that only being able to find mileage seats for one sector of your journey, and being unable to use your miles because it's impossible to find a return seat forcing you - if you want to use your miles - to buy a full-fare return ticket.
Of course it's also good news for people that haven't accrued as many miles, as they can use their miles for part of the journey too (for e.g. NY one way in Economy at the moment would ony be 14,750 due to the mileage redemption sale!)
I hope I've explained that well enough, any questions I'll do my best to answer!!
