Upper Class Sale in USA - unimpressed

The promo email just came in for an 'Upper Class Sale' for travel between now and Jan 1st. I took a look, but the prices are not that awesome, cheapest tix seem to be about $2700 (1750 pounds) including taxes. It's ok, but hardly a bargain.

You can often buy at this price or less on Orbitz, 'Sale' or Not, and I've recently bought as low as $1500 on VS site (UC, r/t all in, USA>UK), when it was not even advertised as a 'sale'. Go figure.

Yes $1500 was an awesome price, but it was definitely not a sale, and was indeed direct on the VS site.

However, the bigger point is that its not much of a "sale" when you can buy the same exact ticket all year round for less on (eg) Orbitz than with VS themselves during their "sale".
