G-VSUN LHR-BGI Today

Just noticed that G-VSUN is operating VS057 from LHR to BGI today. In the flight database this flight number is a rarely used LGW-BGI code.

Is this a private charter? I thought VS usually use VS99 prefix for these flights?

Cheers,

Matt

I thought about that, but BGI flights wern't really affected as all the problems were at LHR. None of the VS29/30's were cancelled from LGW last week....

It's just an extra Xmas flight.

Perhaps Sir Richard plus family and friends are heading there en route to Necker or else back after Christmas. After all it is G-VSUN we are talking about and that plane was brought into service on my EWR-LHR flight last September when SRB was on board

Yes in general but they do also fly to BGI as well.

Just an extra flight to BGI to keep up with the demand for BGI this time of the year.

There were and are a few planned in DEC and JAN.

To be honest I doubt SRB is onboard, G-VSUN on the EWR-LHR route is not a rare occurance so it was nothing special for SRB on that flight.

Like people have said its probably just an extra christmas route.
:)

When I found I was on G-VSUN at the beginning of September I pulled up details of it from the Aircraft Database in the Toolbox which showed at that stage that the aircraft had been used almost exclusively for the NBO and DEL runs for the previous three months and certainly had not done the EWR-LHR route. I don't think it was a coincidence that it was changed to that route because SRB was on board and the cabin crew were inclined to agree with me.

I have noticed since then it has flown a plethora of routes, including EWR, SFO, DXB, PVG, NRT and even ICN, the latter probably with David Cameron on board
