Hi all,
Flying for the first time with VS in ages next month (yipee!! y) ) and for only the second time i'll be on a flight that actually gets into LHR when Revivals is open.
Does anyone have any recommedations on which of the complimentary treatments in Revivals I should be looking to have? Doesn't seem like a upper back/shoulder massage is on the
menu? Interesting that the shave takes 30 mins! What do they do to take that amount of time?!
Many thanks for any help,
Dave

I'm also curious what they do for the shave. Never had a professional shave before. What's the appeal?

The shave's pretty good, hot towel, shave moisturize, they use a Gillette so it's not a proper cut throat shave. I actually think I prefer the facial!

Just did Revivals this morning and ended up choosing to have the shave. Very impressed and would definitely recommend it. Nice and relaxing, and the hot/cold towels help to wake you up a bit as well. y)

The head massage is very calm and relaxing - the only trouble is that it does tend to put you back to sleep again

Isnt it funny everyone has different experiences, I will never have a shave again after the girl (senior) butchered my face shaving left to right and not much up or down, as a consequence my face was so red and sore. spoilt my flight as skin was so irritated.
She took 45 minutes as she tried to sooth my face as it was coming up red as she was nearing the end, and no I am not sensitive normally.
I now stick with haircut.
cheers
alex

Welcome to V-Flyer
Alas, you won't be able to use Revivals since they changed the flight times to and from SFO from April onwards. Many of us are lamenting the loss :#

I think Alex is talking about having a shave in the clubhouse not arrivals. The clubhouse uses a straight edged razor which if someone does not know what they are doing can be painful. The revivals lounge just use a safety razor. I have pretty sensitive skin and have never had a problem with the revivals shave.

When I had my shave in the CH they used a safety razor (that was before the introduced the chargeable menu though)
The cut throat shave is one of the paid (£50)treatments though.

£50, ouch! Wonder just how many people actually pay for treatments, can't think it is many.

Yup after posting I noticed that they had both types on offer at the CH. Not sure I'd like a shave before the flight. As for the UKP 50 it's rather steep, but don't forget the 20% discount!
