VS31 St Lucia Seat Allocation

Hi

Having trouble selecting seating on the VS31 out to St Lucia. Originally we were also coming back on VS32 but this has changed to VS38.

Is the fact I can't pick seats because its possible a Heathrow frame may do the trip and therefore the seating will be totally different?

How does the seating work now on the VS38, as we go via Barbados on the way back.... I'm guessing the PAX for there will remain on in St Lucia and then get off with homeward bounds getting on in Barbados. How does that seating plot work ?

seat choice probbaly more due to to 60% rule than aircraft change.

2nd Q - not sure about the seating plot but homeward bound pax won't be mixed with outbound ones.

So it will be Barbados - pax get off, fly to St Lucia pax (inc you!) get off, plane cleaned etc then homebound pax board, fly to Barbados and more homeward pax board.

VS not allowed to fly pax just from Barbados to St Lucia (and vice versa) due to the cabotage rules.

I've flown VS37/38 to St Lucia a couple of times. Generally on the outbound they sit the BGI pax in the front half of the plane and the UVF at the rear. I seem to remember that we could allocate our seats on this flight but things may have changed since then.

A LHR aircraft usually operates the 31/32 on a Friday but both of my 37/38 flights were on LGW frames. I doubt that a possible config change would prevent you from selecting seats. Only a certain percentage of seats are available for pre-selection, both of my flight's were pretty much full to capacity, so it's possible that this percentage has already been met?

How do they go about seperating the PE and Upper Pax ?

PE and Upper had no seat restrictions - It's a lot easier for VS to manage the disembarkment of the few pax in PE and UC no matter where they are sitting.
200 dotted around Y would be a different story though!
