I've finally accrued enough miles for myself and the other half to take advantage of the UC MPM fares in August

So we will be travelling VS19 outbound and VS8 inbound

Which are the best seats to interact with my better half

I assume that it will be a 346

If you are travelling in August then your SFO flight will be operated by a 744.

Your inbound flight from LAX will be on a 346.

I'm sure everyone will be along with suggestions of their favourite seats on each aircraft.

On the 747 any seat in Zone A - the nose

For the OP, I have this thing about having no one next to me where I can, so I love 2K (others think the loo is intrusive) or even 17A or K (where others think the bar is intrusive, but on a 346 you can't see it).

On a v4 747 it has to be 19A.

Having never experienced the LHR Clubhouse, looking forward to it immensely. Our only UCS experience was in 2008, LAX-LHR

Do VS still use the ANZ at LAX?

For the last five years we have flown from LGW but the scarcity of reward seats on the LAS route has brought about change

Plus we get to fly VX First from SFO to LAS which is a definite bonus ^)

Yes VS uses the NZ lounge at LAX - there are rumours of a shared VA, VX, VS lounge but nothing concrete yet - and the NZ lounge is really good.

The LHR clubhouse is leagues ahead of just about everything else, and LONG may it remain so (VS cost cutters take notice!).

First on VX is lovely isn't it?

Each to their own - on a 346 mine's 2A

You don't have anyone in front of you, and there's the big
air conditioning thing (that you're not supposed to put anything on) in front of you to put everything on.....
