Well, i finally made it to McCoy's and I have to admit it's considerably better than the crappy lounge at MCO... I'll be hanging on here for as long as i can get away with!

Ssshh - Keep the place a secret :D :D

I have to admit that it is a little pricey, but being a haven of tranquility in such a hecticv airport is worth it.

Nice view of the planes too :w

After last years request to see the wine list in the lounge was replied with "we have red and white" anything would be an improvement...

I took a look at checkin on the way in and saw about 700 english families who looked like they've been on a trolley dash at JJB so gave that a miss... Thank god i'm in Upper!! ;)

I promise to not tell a soul!

It's a little bit of heaven and surprisingly good for an airport restaurant.

Last time in there I polished off a very good Angus Burger, washed down with a delicious Top Shelf Margtarita.

In fact I could just go for one right now... :D

Yup, Angus Burgers all round for me with a glass of red that was about as good as i've become used to expecting in the US...

Now in the 'lounge' (waiting room with armchairs...)

From what I can tell at least one of the aircraft waiting to leave MCO is a LHR config.. If not it's got the new paint scheme!

The outbound LGW-MCO aircraft are:

Tinkerbelle (VS27/28) and Ruby Tuesday (VS15/16) or if you are on the 28, you have LHR aircrafr. :)

they did say it would be empty to a couple in economy next to me... so either means a seriously empty upper cabin or a lot of upgrades!! As long as i'm in the a-zone i don't mind!

Although just having a look at the aircraft it looked as though the manchester flight went as a lhr config - judging by the paint scheme alone...

Can't tell which ac type it is from the paint scheme really. Believe that there's 1 heathrow a/c in the new colours and 2 gatwick ones?

I was just about to say the same thing. It is most excellent. Last time I had that followed by a pizza (reasonable) and a lot of Yuengling on draft (the latter courtesy of VS food and beverage vouchers!)

Normally have the Trios at McCoys.

A good variety - and you can get them to spread them over the time you have to wait.

Last time I was there, they were re-furbishing - how is the place now?
