Just a quick question i've been unable to find the answer to both here and on the VS site.

How far in advance can you book flights?

I know online you can book approx 11 months, what about the Call Centre?

I think its the same - 333 days is the international standard.

I would doubt that the call centre would have any earlier access than that either.

BTW it seams that initially only the full fare buckets are realeasd and it can take a little longer for the cheaper and reward fares to be uploaded.

Thanks Tonty, knew I could rely on your for a reply.

We've finally convinced my partners family to join us in visiting Florida either 2012 or 2013. The only downside is that it needs to be during the holidays (at the moment we've been able to enjoy going out of season!) so finding the best deal and booking in advance is going to be essential.!

I have a slightly different recollection - I think its 336 days.

You'll need to factor in it is your return date if you are booking a round trip fare too.

Meant to say if any of it is going to be using FC miles, it can sometimes work better to book separate outbounds and inbounds. It can be a bit risky as you don't know for definite the availability will there on your return date. But if your trip is more than the bog standard 2 weeks you can risk seeing the outbound availability disappear whilst your waiting for the inbound to get loaded.

If travelling together is important though you might want a simpler strategy!
