Can anyone confirm whether the current 744s (conf 4) from LHR have a bar in the nose portion of the UC cabin? Something similar to those shown on http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... _cabin.jpg or http://www.flickr.com/photos/tipsfortra ... 268814648/

I vaguely remember there being nothing there at all (no bar, nor weird white table thingy) on a return from SFO about 18 months ago.

No, the pic with the bar is the LGW/MAN UC cabin, and the other pic is the old LHR cabin A Zone with the IFBT station. There is nothing in the noise/A Zone section on the LHR fleet, since they removed the IFBT station a few years back.

The bar is at the back of the UC section/B zone, near door L2 as seen on the seat maps

Fantastic, thanks. Just trying to pick a nice seat :)

VS' own seat maps didn't show anything in that area but the ones here had some triangular shaped object there :)

Anywhere in that front cabin is excellent, and seems to be the first choice for most V-Flyers.

Wonder if anyone has a preferred side for best views into SFO? I'm guessing the right stands the best chance but will all depend on approaches on the day.

Normally the left hand side of the aircraft gets the best views of SFO.

Awesome, thanks. Never yet managed to see that bridge without fog... :)
