PE seats on the new Airbus 330 MCO to Man

I'll be returning to Manchester on the new aircraft on Sunday 10th April. We've got seats 21D&F booked in PE but wondered if anyone knows which are the 'best' seats. We will be trying to get next to the window at OLCI but wondered if any seat rows were 'better' than others. I did look at seatguru but they are not shown on that site yet. I only ask because my DH is 6'5" & needs all the legroom he can get.

Katie :)

I'd say keep an eye on TR's once the aircraft starts flying to read other peoples reviews of the seats.

Those sound like good seats to me. Have a look at the A340 window layout to get an idea. With the spacing of the PE seats you should get at least 1 window and with PE being nowhere near the wings (the first time on a VS Airbus) there hopefully shouldn't be any blanked out windows.

Keep checking for pics near your departure date as the first passenger flight is April 2nd.

We are all eagerly awaiting views of the new cabins. You may be the first vflyer to do a TR.

I will do & I'll get pics too. At the moment we're in the middle row of three with an unreserved seat next to us. As long as DH doesn't get kneecapped when the person in front flings their seat back - we'll be OK. :)
We're in 79A&C of the bubble on the way out which we really like but as usual we'll probably be moved to the exit row :)

I just logged into manage your flights on the VS site to find a change in my booking. Instead of expecting to be back in Manchester at 0810, it's now revised to 0830 - only 20 minutes difference. I wonder whether they have had a couple of trial runs and found that they were a wee bit optomistic with their timing.
I'm not sure now whether to let my valet parking people know of the change as I don't want to be stung for more money when I return later than expected.

Hi Katie,

That's interesting, was anything asking you to confirm the new flight times at all? Or did you receive an email? I suppose as it's only 20 minutes and it's the inbound, it's not much of an issue.

Hi Luke, I did have to confirm that I accepted the change. No email - just the message when I logged into my booking page. I was surprised that they bothered asking people if it was OK for such a small change in timing.
I did ring my valet parking & they said it wasn't a problem.

I once got it for a 5 minute change, yet I didn't get it on the My Booking page when they changed my SFO flight by nearly 2 hours. Mind you I had booked that one via Expedia who were very prompt to email me y)

Same with ours for June - 15 minutes longer on the outbound and 20 minutes on the return. Wonder if they are just giving themselves a bit of breathing space in the schedules or is it because the A330 does not cruise just quite as fast as the 747 or is it something to do with route restrictions - being a new operator of twin engined planes - dont airlines have to gain a higher value of ETOPS certification ?
