Hi

We fly to Vegas a month today and looking forward to it! We are flying economy and i wondered if they have wifi on the planes that do this route? I understand there are a couple of Heathrow planes doing the gatwick routes at the moment. Is there any way of finding out if we have one of those? We return on vs044 on sunday 24th April, if its possible to find that one out too!

Thanks

At the moment, no VS aircraft have WiFi available on them. The A330 *might* have but no-one outside VS knows yet.

Even if they do, it's unlikely you will be on this aircraft anyway as the A333's are scheduled on the MCO route.

UK airlines don't seem to have cottoned on to on-board WiFi yet v(

Hi - none of the current Virgin fleet offer wifi onboard. The new A330's might have this facility but it hasn't been confirm yet, but for your specific flight, it will not be on one of these a/c as they are only operating on the MCO when they join the fleet.

I was on a VX flight from SFO to JFK recently and I tried to download an album from iTunes ... it took three out of the five hours of flight, so if you're hoping to use WiFi for video streaming, on an aeroplane that will likely be a tough proposition.

I think GoGo (the company VX use for their ground to air Internet) block the popular bandwidth hogging traffic. Don't even think you can use Skype.
