Virgin LHR - DXB Premium Economy Cabin

Hey Everyone,

I'm booked into a LHR - DXB return flight in July in the Premium Economy cabin, i'm not really aware of the features of this separate cabin. Is it just extra legroom economy or is there more to it? Are complementary drinks available on request throughout the flight?

Thanks
:)

Welcome to V-Flyer,

The perks of PE are listed on the VS website- here.

In addition you may like to read some Trip reports written by V-Flyers. Choose your flight from the drop down menu - Here.

I like PE, yes it is a glorified economy cabin, but it make the journey a lot more pleasant.

Edit - yes, drinks are free, but be careful how much you have. Too many; and you may find you get problems at DXB immigration. :D 8D

Can I just check - it's hard to tell from the VS website or trip reports - how much extra legroom do you get?

Is the tray table on the seat in front or in the arm?

And does the seat have a usable foot rest?

Are the seats a bit like the old type business class seats but closer together or more like economy seats further apart? ?| ?|

Officially it's 38" compared to 31" (ooo-err missus!). It does make a difference, but more than that it's the seat width that really makes it feel more spacious.

The tray table is in the armrest except for the first row.

Some people like and some don't the foot rest ...

And yes, if you travel first on a US airline or old Club Europe on BA, in concept they're very similar. They are not economy seats with more legroom like on United, have a look at the pictures on the VS Web site!

Thanks everyone, you've all given me a more clear image of what to expect on my July flight. Is the cabin similar to that of a Business Class?

What do you mean by Business Class?

It certainly isn't comparable to any business class cabins/products that any of the main airlines offer nowadays.
