Should I be worried

They are probably doing an update, I cant get in either

Just tried but can't get in either and I really needed to too !

Seems to be happening a lot lately, hopefully VS are testing some new functionality or something! (one can hope!)

It is quite a common occurrence, nothing to be worried about, most likely just routine updates.

I do with they would put up a message

'we are doing maintenance work and expect it to finish at XX@XX time'

rather than

'your account is currently unavailable'

The first gives an explanation and time frame and stops people calling unnecessarily.

The second just puts peoples backs up and gets them worried and more likely to phone up and take up staff time.

Bt d'oh this is VS we are talking about and not a rational organisaton

Or it could simply be a database fault.

Nothing worse than having to keep issuing updates saying "We're working on it" instead of actually fixing it.
