VS regard 12+ as adult - my cousins eldest child didn't get offered one on a flight last year (but after asking, managed to get a spare).

If he is 12 he will be on an adult fare and therefore will not show up on the manifest as a child so will not get a pack. He will not miss anything. My son was completely underwhelmed by them

At least he is now able to claim miles at 12. When my son first started travelling on adult fares the rules only allowed FC membership at 18. Fortunately it changed shortly after that but he missed a couple of trips' worth of miles
