I flew BMI Ed to Lon rtn this week and added my flying club mem # to the booking. Anyone know how long it normally takes to show up on the flying club account?

Cheers,

Sam

Partner miles are notoriously slow to post, and often they don't appear at all.

Make sure you save your boarding stub and paperwork, as you may have to send them to VS. If the points don;t appear in a month or so, use the 'claim missing partner miles' in the Flying Club section of the VS website.

cheers - although I only have a text message boarding pass... but I'm sure some of the email paperwork will work.

Whereas I generally agree with Nick, schizophrenically they can sometime appear very quickly. Hilton for example seems to have their postings working, as does Amex - Amex happens almost in real time.

Just want to add that I'm still waiting for my Priority Club Miles to be posted. I've converted around 50,000 PC Points into 10,000 miles 6 weeks ago and I'm still waiting.

I got an interesting explanation from the call centre that the vouchers gets transferred from the partner to FC on a CD who then have their database marketing team convert the data in to something useful. After all that, they are then add your your account.

It's a colourful description of what can only be described as poor execution in this day and age of technology.

I did a return with BMI to belfast recently and the outbound miles turned up very quickly, but the inbound have not shown up at all. If it were more than 150 at stake, I'd probably go hunting for paperwork, but frankly it's not worth the time and effort!

American Express UK have a "real-time" interface with Virgin so MR points transfers *should* be instant.

They don't have real-time interfaces with Hilton however, so they take longer to send across.
