LHR CONFIG 3 SEATING

Dose any know why config 3 is no longer available on seatmaps on VA website.

Hi and welcome,

I believe VS have now added the economy section to all LHR 747's at the back of the upper deck (per config 4) so there is no longer a difference between 3 and 4 - hence the merge. It would have made more sense to remove 4 so there is 1-3.

None of VS fleet have config 3 any more, it was replaced by config 4.

As Luke says, would make sense to rename it, but the rumours are that config 4 is temporary and config 3 is coming back soon.

Oh you should never rename things like this because some people (pax and staff) will hear 'config 3' and think ABC when they should think XYZ because it has been renumberd from something else.

I worked somewhere that did renumber rooms after some bulding work because it was decided (by people who never came to look) that it was 'sensible' but in reality is caused havoc - there were signs like 'This is room 11 (used to be room 2) room 2 is now where room 24 used to be'
