Hi,

This is my first post so apologies if i'm posting in the incorrect place.

I'm travelling from LGW to MCO n the 18th may on VS027 with husband and 2 boys, would like to upgrade from cattle class to PE, but only if i can go upstairs. does anyone know how full this plane is? do child upgrades be the same amount of the adult? Either way what are the upgrade prices please (was fortunate enough to travel club traveller on BA to mexico last year and really cannot face going back to cattle class!! )

Also does anyone know the likelyhood of this being one of the new planes, i've checked the past stats and seems like only about a 25% chance, but wondered if anyone had any more info?

Also in standard cattle class does anyone know what will be on the menu's?

Currently your flight to MCO (from LGW not GTW) is wide open

PE is showing at least 9 seats available in all buckets so it may well be possible to buy upgrades. With regard to costs, it is difficult to say and it is advisable to call VS direct and ask them.

With regard to going upstairs, it is difficult to say. The front section is blocked off for Virgin Holiday passengers but these get released some hours before OLCI opens so, if you do get the upgrades you should check then and keep checking . Also do OLCI at least 13 hours before departure otherwise you will lose them and they will go back into the pool for re-allocation.

Hi Vikki - if by 'new plane' you mean the A330 there won't be an upstairs as there isn't one ! Though at present your flight it is scheduled to be a 747 on that date.

As to costs - check in 'manage my bookings' as upgrades will often be offered there. However there is no 100% certainty that even if you do upgrade to PE that you will get seats in the bubble.

i'm a bit of a newbie so what does 'J9 D9 R9 Z9 W9 S9 K9 Y9 B9 L9 M9 Q9 X9 N9 O6' mean?

i've booked through VH and allocated seats at the back of the plane - 2 seats x 2 behind each other on the back left. but would like to take the boys up to the bubble if we are on the normal 747, obviously if ther is no upstairs i'll not be able to.

Does anyone know when the plane will be finialised or is it a case of wait till we are at the airport?
