Very happy to report that himself and I have booked UC reward seats to / from South Africa for next March - flying to CPT and back from JNB (that was the one that I thought would be really difficult to get). Chuffed to bits that we got exactly the dates we wanted - colour me happy

Well done - really pleased for you. I'm planning on a CPT trip as well, and will be on the hunt for UC rewards, you've given me some hope!

Congrats on the reward flight. I'm looking to get UC LHR/JNB/LHR using FC miles. Out in late March return mid April. Not much available in UC with FC Miles so you bagged a great one.
Out of interest what dates are you booked?

Going out 10th March, back 2nd April. It looks like they only fly JNB-LHR on Mondays in Mar / Apr and the reward seats look to be every 3rd Monday so we did really well to bag the date we wanted.

Just done a dummy booking trial...you lucky things ^) ...I cant get anywhere near it...
As my old Dad said try try and try again..
then give up and try again!

Where did you get that from. I've just done a dummy booking for JNB-LHR return and they fly daily ?|

With regard to reward flights to and from South Africa, I managed to snag two for my sister and her son last year. IIRC for my nephew the original booking was UC out and PE in and for my sister it was an upgrade from an L fare. It took some time to get them all into UC but with perseverance we managed it. Sometimes it was a question of looking several times a day but early morning was best.

Honeylamb, hmm see what you mean. I must have been looking at the reward schedules, they only ever seem to come up on a Monday for that time of year....

I must have done something really good lately to have had such good luck!
