Smart zone

Got home from MCO this morning and we alerted on board to the smart zone. Not heard of it before, but it's great! We had no hold-ups at all at security, we didn't even stop walking! I overheard someone asking an 'official' about it, he was told it was in use as Virgin MCO flights are seen as low-risk.
I hope it catches on! It goes to show that profiling is clearly done - which we all know - but looks as though someone with some common sense is at last using it to benefit passengers.
Contrast that with the long, long queues at Orlando - several lines of people being funnelled into 1 lane.... grrrrrrr.....

You beat me to it ! LOL
I was on the flight from MCO (VS16) not sure if we were on the same one, and heard about the smart zone from the crew. You need boarding card and passport and "should" get through quicker. That said as we were in UC we were the third people off and by the time we got to UKBA there was no queue, plus missed the sign for the smart zone anyway

No, we were on the 28! We were also in UC, off the plane in no time, through security and bags collected in near-record time. Why can't it always be like that???

The Smart zone signs are no more than a few placards on stands that they move into place! Very Heath-Robinson lol.

In October they were doing some 'work' in MCO around the arrivals area, but that work consisted of 3 people in overalls and hard hats sitting around chatting and drinking coffee..

Right so that's join the 'ExpertFlyer' Line at MCO to get thru security quicker when leaving there and join the 'Smart Zone' when arriving back home (that was what was meant and not when arriving at MCO wasn't it ?| ) to get thru quicker here - wow sounds too good to be true if I've got that right! Confirmation would be appreciated before I fly out there please

All sounding a bit hit and miss then, but yes, it was on returning to LGW.
