Load Check - Translation help

Outbound flight to ORD is showing as:

J9 D9 R9 Z9 W9 S9 K9 Y9 B9 L9 M9 Q9 X9 N9 O4

Inbound is showing as:

J9 D9 R9 Z9 W9 S9 K0 Y9 B9 L9 M9 Q9 X9 N9 O2

Does this mean its full or not? The load check is all new to me.

The seat map on VS website isn't showing much availability. We're in economy on both legs but I'd really like to try and get exit seats at least on the return leg as DH won't upgrade.

Thanks in advance for the help with this.

Nope, it means it's pretty empty.

Where it shows a letter plus 9 means that there are at least 9 seats left in that fare class. Right now only the lowest fare class O is coming close to selling out.

Thank you for that appreciate it.

11 days to go and I am hoping it doesn't fill up too much then or that VS do the reverse and cancel it!

I'm always guarded as to whether 9s mean empty or not, all it means is that VS will sell at least 9 more seats in each fare class. However on some routes VS will oversell in some classes, so even a 9 may not mean actually 9 empty seats. Also, 9 seats out of say 200 being free in Y is still a fairly full flight.

Although not total reliable, a better way is to look at the seat plan on EF - what dates are you flying on?
