Hi,
We are flying BA down to LHR the day before our VS SFO flight.
Presuming here that we will land at T5.

Do you have any favourite airport hotels that are more convenient to T3 and your views/tips on ground transportation would be most welcome also. Happy to taxi it around but l am guessing that the cabbies are all wanting longer fares than just around the airport!

Thank You

There are lots of threads about LHR hotels - This one is fairly recent, and offers some good tips.

If they are in the rank they are available for hire - them's the rules.

You are sure to be right tontybear! I just hate that look they give you when you just ask to be taken down the road!

If it's a weekend or you can get a good weekday rate, it has to be the Sofitel at T5. Then a quick HEX trip to T3 in the morning.

+1, my favourite hotel at LHR is the Sofitel. Directly connected to T5 by indoor walkways, and easy to get to other terminals using the free HEX link or the tube if you want to go into London.

I've had that look when I have said i want to go to the hotels on Bath Road - I have used the Hoppa service in the past. i really like the Renaissance hotel on Bath Road - especially now that they serve complimentary wines, beers and spirits in the evening in the Club Lounge.

We stayed in the premier inn on bath road last weekend and was really impressed. Was my first time in a PI. Getting the hoppa bus was easy to T3.
