Virgin Airmiles to Hilton Points

HI,

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I cannot see this so...

I wanted to transfer 125,000 Virgin Flying Club miles to my Hilton Honors account. On the Hilton website it says the rate is 1:2 (10,000 miles becomes 20,000 points).

This is the page:
http://hhonors1.hilton.com/en_US/hh/poi ... rpoints.do

However, Virgin say it's only 1:1 which will obviously cost me a lot more.

I have contacted both Virgin and Hilton and shown them the relevant web page but they are are both adamant, 1:1 or nothing.

Is there anything I can do to get them to honour this? (or even honor!!)

Any positive suggestions would be appreciated

Take a screen shot and then email Hilton

They have a responsibility to ensure their website is correct and I would expect them to honour it for you and then correct their website.

Has been 1:1 for as long as I can remember. The UK site states 5k miles for 5k points here. Are you registered with a UK address or a US one? There are quite often region specific differences in reward programmes.

Thanks for the replies.
In answer to the questions, I am UK registered (with both companies) and the link to the Hilton website actuall came from Virgin's site. I agree that Virgin's site said 1:1 but the one I saw first was on Hilton's, and I worked out the cost of the holiday around that.

Back to the drawing board I suppose.
