BDA direct or via Bos/JFK

A friend of mine is getting married in mid Sept, and I need to get to Bermuda on a Friday, return on the Sunday!!! :D

So, do I:
Fly direct with BA,
Take VS to BOS or JFK and Jet Blue to BDA.

Would BOS be a better interchange than JFK?

I have some VS miles, so might want to upgrade, particularly on the return leg, and this kind of means if I went BA, I'd be flying economy.

Anyone got any thoughts on relative merits of each routing?

Thanks in advance.

Unless you really want to use your miles, I'd recommend taking the direct route. Transferring in the US is a pain generally & you end up needing a huge layover to give enough time to clear customs, collect your bags & re-enter through security.

Jet Blue flies from both, but early in the morning, so you'd have to overnight at either airport.

Anecdotally, BOS seems better for upgrade availability.

I'd look at direct if you just want to be there for a few days.
