Flying Club Renewal Thresholds
Posted: 08 Jun 2011, 09:49Just noticed from a previous thread that the Flying Club renewal threshold have been confirmed on the "My ACoount" section of the VS web site.
""If your tier membership year ends on or before 31 August 2011, you will require 30 tier points to retain gold membership or 10 tier points to retain silver membership.
If your tier membership year ends on or after 01 September 2011, you will require 40 tier points to retain gold membership or 15 tier points to retain silver membership""
This follows our "exciting news" email about new tier points earnings and thresholds.
And the renewal calculator has gone from the "My Account" section. v(
My Ag ends on 31st March 2012. To renew,I need 15 points as my renewal is after 1st. September 2011.I currently have 3 points in the bank and,before this change, renewal was only 10!. A bit disppointed as, in order to maintain Ag,I had planned and booked my Nov/Dec trip in UC giving me 10 points...more than enough for the previous renewal threshold... Now I am 2 points short with no chance of getting any more flights in.

I know it's not Au but at least I had a bit of a bonus with 25% extra miles. I suppose FC had to make the cut off date somewhere but I thought at least they would allow the current year to run and use the new thresholds at renewal date.
I know there's nowt I can do about it, just wondering if any other V-Flyers are in the same boat?. ?|
