Is this cheap...?

Rhetorical question really;

Looking for a break to Boston some time in March next year. Econ flights available now for just over £400 - so pretty cheap. But just checked Virgin Holidays - not the most popular choice for many V-Flyers - found 5 nights at the Back Bay, (formerly Jury's), for £639 per person for flight and hotel.

Any other way of getting this hotel for less? (£464 for 5 nights).

Craig.

Seems fairly reasonable to me! As you say VH is not always best for value but for 5 nights is good!

Check the hotel offering on the VS site and see what comes up - I did for my trip to BOS last November and was very surprised and the good rate I got for The Lennox.

There are also the usual suspects of expedia etc (plus get a bit back via QUIDCO / cash back site)

Check the hotels own website too they may have deals sch as a better room or include breakfast for the same rate as a room only on expedia.

Craig

It strikes me as an exceptional deal - if that includes flights and hotel. Out of curisoity I just went on to the hotel site (not looking for deals admittedly) and the basic rate in March 2012 is £277 per night. That would be £1,300 for 5 nights just for the hotel. Add flights at £400 to that.

If I were you I'd book it post haste and not look back.

Cheers

Martin

Thanks for the replies;

Mrs M has recently discovered Quidco - didn't realise they had Expedia.

Unfortunately, can't book yet. Need to wait until 7 months before we want to go just incase Mrs M is 'with child'. Some kind of no fly after 2nd trimester rule. (I didn't even know trimester was a word).

Does look like a good deal; we usually try to do flights and accom separately but some times VHols comes up with some good prices, (but only if flying Econ - upgrade prices aren't great!). And there's the bonus Miles from AMEX. And only have to pay a deposit initially...

There is no absolute ban on pregnant ladies flying in the 3rd trimester (i.e. in the 7th-9th month) but the closer to delivery date - and especially after 35 weeks where it is specifically not advised - they get the more airlines get quite ansty and will demand 'fit to fly' letters.

If there is to be a liltle monster - congratulations !
