Children's meals

Does anyone know why I am currently unable to request a children's meal in My Booking? Never had a problem before - now just showing various vegetarian and cultural options but nothing about children.
Think that if I have to try to telephone Virgin again, I might lose the will to live......
Is anyone else having this problem currently?

How old are your children?
They are only available for under 12's

They are both 11 - booked through VH, so a little different from usual, though I think I have booked them online before when I've done the seating....

Having the same problem for my 5 year old. No option in the drop down list. Booked through a travel agent also, but have filled in the API with correct date of birth, and correct title...

We booked childs meal through main reservations and it showed in the booking afterwards. Give them a call

I would like to add that if you do need to order any special meals (including children's meals) then please order them directly through VS either online or over the phone with reservations.
Whenever ordered meals are not onboard they have usually been "booked" 99% of the time by a travel agent and the details haven't been sent to VS - this is especially prevalent with children's meals.

Most definitely agree. I was left high and dry on a couple of occasions when the travel agent assured me that the airline would automatically reserve a child's meal when they saw a child ticket in the booking. v(
